You have to understand Karaoke in general is something that has to be enjoyed by friends and family together. The game is ok playing by yourself.
But yeah, this is a party style game no question. My advice, have the game around for family stuff like bbq and stuff
The amount of songs is my ONLY problem with this game.
But one can imagine mass updates for this game. Assuming they can keep getting licenses for the songs.
To be honest, that is probably a hell of a hassle to constantly get rights for those songs.

First off, Gears 2 and Killzone 2 don't have the same kind of pressure because those are ALREADY established franchises.
Don't get me wrong, Gears 2 needs to be great and that goes double for Killzone 2. But Too Human is the one that is a totally new IP. And being such, that's the one that has to establish itself.
Let's push the development time aside for a second since we all know it's been in development for nearly 10 full years. That's old news now
